Welcoming back our Reliability PhD students from summer internships
Welcome Back, Eunseo So and Saman Marandi!
This summer, two of our Ph.D students in the Reliability Engineering program gained incredible expereince through their internships:
- Eunseo worked as a Reliability Engineer at Amazon Lab126 in Sunnyvale, CA, where she explored how reliability is implemented for consumer products at scale. The experience also strengthened her passion for integrating LLMs with risk and reliability engineering in her dissertation research.
- Saman interned at The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, applying Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), FMECA, and reliability predictions to assess spacecraft safety and performance. This work gave him valuable exposure to spacecraft design, satellites, and mission assurance.
We’re excited to welcome them back to campus and can’t wait to see how they continue advancing within their research!
