Congratulations ENRE Fall Graduates!

The Center for Risk & Reliability is proud to announce that five students have graduated with degrees in Reliability Engineering during the Fall 2019 semester.

The commencement ceremony for the A. James Clark School of Engineering was held on December 18, 2019.

The following students received degrees in Reliability Engineering this Fall:

Doctor of Philosophy

  • Roohollah Heidary, Ph.D.
Roohollah's dissertation was titled "Developing Hybrid PHM Models for Pipeline Pitting Corrosion, Considering Different Types of Uncertainty and Change in Operational Conditions." The abstract may be found here.
 
  • Meng Xu, Ph.D.

Meng's dissertation was titled "Using the Q-Weibull Distribution for Reliability Engineering Modeling and Applications." The abstract may be found here.

  • David Verstraete, Ph.D.
David's dissertation was titled "Deep Adversarial Approaches in Reliability." The abstract may be found here.
 

Masters of Science in Reliability Engineering

  • Matthew Reid
  • Thuy-An Vu
Matthew and Thuy-An are members of the Australian Army who were selected for a posting to complete an M.S. in Reliability Engineering at the University of Maryland, a degree not offered in Australia. More information about Matthew and Thuy-An's experience at UMD may be found here.
